Tammy O'Connor is a proud Nyiyaparli/Paylku woman and passionate advocate for her community and Country. As the founder of KingKira Group a leader in industrial and environmental services for the resource and mining sectors. Tammy has built the business from the ground up and now drives its growth and strategic partnerships in her Business Development role.
Tammy's career spans community education, Aboriginal heritage consultation, and the resources industry, giving her a rare combination of cultural authority and commercial expertise. In 2024, Tammy was awarded the prestigious Roberta Sykes Scholarship, attending a short course at Harvard University in 2025. That same year, she was named Supply Nation's Indigenous Businesswoman of the Year a proud recognition of her impact and leadership in the Indigenous business community. She is actively involved in the negotiation of Indigenous Land Use Agreements and sits on various native title boards, championing Aboriginal engagement across the Pilbara.
Under Tammy's leadership, KingKira Group continues to grow, with the launch of the Industrial Services division delivering fully integrated maintenance solutions from routine upkeep and major shutdowns, to high pressure cleaning and asset integrity inspections further cementing KingKira's position as a go-to partner for the energy and mining sectors.
For Tammy, business has always been about more than the bottom line. As a proud wife and mother, her family is the foundation of everything she does. Every job created, every person mentored, and every door opened is a step toward a stronger, more self-determined future for Aboriginal people in the Pilbara and beyond. Tammy’s mission is to leave a better world for the next generation to inherit.
