Dennis is a collaborative and strategic professional with extensive experience in Aboriginal engagement across government and private industry, particularly within the mining, oil and gas sectors. Since joining Main Roads in 2019, he has established a best‑practice framework for sustainable procurement and contracting opportunities for Aboriginal businesses and individuals.
Dennis is a member of the Main Roads Corporate Executive and the Transport Portfolio Governance Council. Under his leadership, the Transport Portfolio Aboriginal Engagement team has grown into a centre of excellence, driving best practice and consistent approaches across the Portfolio. The team works collaboratively across Main Roads, the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI), Public Transport Authority (PTA), Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery (OMTID), Office of Major Infrastructure Delivery (OMID) and Westport.
Dennis has brought together a high‑performing team that builds on strengths across the Portfolio to elevate outcomes in Aboriginal economic participation, cultural recognition and workplace cultural safety. He also represents Western Australia on the Land Transport Infrastructure Governance (LTIG) Working Group, contributing to national workstreams and reporting.
Dennis has traditional ties to the Ballardong and Whadjuk language groups.
