Charlie Galbraith is a citizen of the Navajo Nation with nearly 20 years of experience helping tribes understand and utilise their unique legal standing and political relationships in the United States. He is currently the Co-Chair of Jenner & Block’s Native American Law Practice Group.

Charlie previously served as the tribal advisor for President Barack Obama, managing the United States' relationship with all tribal governments and Native American people. In this role, he advised the President, cabinet members, and Executive Branch agencies on political, legislative, legal, administrative, and media issues, contributing to one of the most successful periods of advancements in Native American affairs. He also served as Deputy Associate Counsel for presidential personnel, conducting background investigations and vetting individuals for presidential appointments.

Before his White House tenure, Charlie was a Federal Prosecutor and a Legislative Assistant to a United States Senator, advising on Indian Affairs, Judiciary, and Appropriations matters. These federal government experiences inform his practice today, making him a sought-after lawyer for tribal governments, businesses, and individuals navigating complex legal, political, and policy challenges.
