Adam Goodes is a proud Adnyamathanha and Narungga man from Wallaroo, SA. With a professional football career spanning more than 16 years, he holds an elite place in sports history and is now the CEO of Indigenous Defence & Infrastructure Consortium (iDiC).
He was named the 2014 Australian of the Year in recognition of empowering the next generation and for taking a stand against racism after being vilified on field by a young member of the crowd. The way in which Adam turned this incident into a public message of education and non-tolerance will be remembered for generations to come.
Adam co-founded the Goodes-O’Loughlin Foundation (GO Foundation), joined the National Indigenous Council, and was previously on the Supply Nation board.
