Ying McGuire is the first Asian American CEO and President of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), America's leading minority business development organisation. NMSDC connects over 17,000 minority business enterprises (MBEs) with more than 1,700 corporate members. With over 15 years of executive leadership experience, McGuire is a prominent advocate for expanding business diversity in both the private and public sectors.
McGuire has driven organisational transformation and technology modernisation to achieve the ambitious goal of increasing annual revenue for NMSDC-certified MBEs to $1 trillion.
McGuire also holds several community leadership roles. In 2016, she was appointed by the United States Secretary of Commerce to the United States Investment Advisory Council. She served as the first woman chair of the International Trade Center's advisory board and was appointed to the Council of Underserved Communities in 2021. She is a founding board member of the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce and a board advisor of the George H.W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations.
Originally from China, McGuire immigrated to the U.S. with just one suitcase and $1,000. After earning an MBA in international management, she embarked on a journey to help others achieve their American dreams.
