Noel Niddrie is a Kamilaroi and Darug man who has dedicated his professional life to improving the lives of First Australians. He is the driving force behind Winangali and is uniquely qualified as one of Australia’s leading Indigenous communications practitioners, with over 30 years of experience as an Indigenous engagement specialist.
Noel was instrumental in the early development of Indigenous media, having developed the National Indigenous News Network and produced the first national broadcasts of First Nations current affairs, issues, and events.
His business interests span Communication, Evaluation, and Research. He is a consultant who specializes in effective strategy and methodological approaches and has advised Ministers and their Departments on business issues impacting First Nations peoples.
Noel has a BA in Applied Communications Studies, a Graduate Certificate in Research Methods, and is a full member of the Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Research Society, and the Australian Evaluation Society.
Noel created Winangali in 2005, and it went on to win the 2012 Telstra Qld Business of the Year, the 2013 PRIA Golden Target (Qld) Award for a Government Campaign, and the Special Recognition Award at the 2013 Supply Nation Awards.
