Dr. Michelle Evans is the inaugural Director of the Dilin Duwa Centre for Indigenous Business Leadership. She holds an Associate Professorship of Leadership at the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) and the Melbourne Business School (MBS).

Michelle is the Associate Dean (Indigenous) at FBE/MBS and co-founder of Australia’s leading Indigenous Business Master Class program, MURRA, based at Melbourne Business School. She founded the Wilin Centre for Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development at the Victorian College of the Arts and Music, and WALAN MAYINYGU, Charles Sturt University’s Indigenous entrepreneurship pop-up innovation hub program.

A Fulbright scholar, Michelle combines professional experience in management, community engagement, and facilitation with a strong research track record. She has secured five highly competitive Australian Research Council grants, most recently for evaluating Indigenous preferential procurement programs. Michelle has taught and mentored over 325 Australian Indigenous businesspeople through various programs and serves on several national and international committees focused on Indigenous advancement and engagement excellence.
